I Was Gentle Till The Circus Life Made Me Mean

Don’t you worry, folks, we took out all her teeth…

Summer I is over and I aced my economics class!! Then I had 2 days to relax before Summer II started and I had to dive into my Intro to Ethics class…which, by the way, is all discussion topics and essays.

I honestly think I prefer quizzes and tests.

I created a soundcloud account to gather music from anyone who reads my entries or for me to add and share with everyone. Please feel free to add to it! I am very tied to music. It has always helped me work through whatever it is I am feeling or dealing with. I know that I’m not the only one.

My kiddos are back home and it’s been amazing. I missed them so much and I really had not anticipated just how much I was going to miss the chaos, laughter, smiles, and hugs. My world feels balanced again. Now, we are on the road to school prep. I have to buy them new shoes, clothes, backpacks, supplies…it feels overwhelming, but I have so much support and love. My focus is always that the girls are happy, taken care of, and have everything they need.

I made a big change and gave Zoey her own room. She loves it! It is very Sonic the Hedgehog themed right down to her bedding lol I bought her a twin bedframe that had LED lights at the head and foot of the bed. I am super happy that she really likes her new space. I also took the time to help Sophia and Itza clean up their big room. Now you can see the floor! Both bedrooms have TVs now, so they can watch whatever they want upstairs while I can watch what I want in the living room (except when they decide they want to play Minecraft or Mario Kart haha).

OH! Also, I found a kitten underneath a car parked on campus and rescued it. He was approximately 5 or 6 weeks old when I found him. He is now 8 weeks old and 2.1 pounds. I took him home where he has just caused so much cuteness aggression….I just want to eat him up! The girls love him, of course. There is no shortage of love and attention for him. My boss says that he won the kitten lottery. Since I found him on campus I decided to name him Izzy, after our university mascot :) He’s all black, so my nickname for him is my little voidling.

Overall, life is good. I am doing good at staying focused on the girls, Nate, work, and school. The toughest part is remembering to take time to breathe and remember that I can only do my best.
